Historically, site, gallery and feed updates have been fairly consistent with new updates arriving approximately once per week. Unfortunately, though, there was a recent hiccup with their promo tools, so currently there do not appear to be any recent updates – at least to their promo tools. Please note: Not too long ago, the Pornstar Platinum program got a glitch in how their ad-tools are returned. Basically, you can’t go straight to what you want, but have to come at it sideways. For instance, if you want to see ALL galleries in the PARTNERSHIP program it will come up blank, but then if you change the criteria, you’ll get results, and then go back to the original criteria you wanted, there they are. Once again, we can only hope this issue will be resolved along with the resumption of promo tool updates, but for the time being this is the workaround that we have found.
Although we allude to it above, it bears re-mentioning that the Pornstar Platinum program continues to grow, frequently adding brand-new featured performer sites starring popular pornstars. Affiliates will appreciate that these are not dump and forget sites like those found on some other programs that never see another update after their initial launch. Rather, the newer sites come with a full complement of promotional tools, just as the programs established sites, and likewise continue to update from there.
Obviously, the Pornstar Platinum program offers some excellent quality sites and galleries for affiliate promotion. However, their use of canonical linking on the sites leads us to recommend affiliates primarily restrict their linking to the galleries – or consider adding nofollow rel elements to their link codes when linking to the sites directly. Although it would be preferable if there were no canonical linking in the sites, sadly the use of which has become a fairly common practice in the online adult industry and is simply something to be considered when promoting a new sponsor. There are certainly worse practices in which some adult affiliate programs indulge. Additionally, while affiliates should always do this anyway, it is highly recommended that those affiliates promoting Pornstar Platinum resist the urge of simply using the provided text scene descriptions as-is in their own promotional efforts considering how the text content is already duplicated verbatim numerous times across the programs sites and tools.
In total, Pornstar Platinum is a decent adult affiliate program for high quality featured pornstar content. Given the high quality content and selection of promotional tools, affiliates should have little trouble promoting this exclusive pornstar content.
