During our latest followup review of the BasementDollars program, only one of their eight listed sites resolved. BasementDollars is a moderate sized adult affiliate program whose sites are primarily devoted to Asian and amateur girlfriend niche content, with quite a bit of overlap. When we initially reviewed the BasementDollars program there were several sites that were more fitting the amateur girlfriend niche than the Asian niche. Since, the program has narrowed their focus to just their Asian properties and divested themselves of the sites that did not fit that niche. We believe it was during this transition that the links to access the banners and galleries – and thereby RSS feeds – got broken. As a result, affiliate will find links to the remaining sites provided, as well as POTD’s to most of those sites, but that is extent of any provided promotional tools currently available. Summary
Affiliates who choose to join the BasementDollars adult affiliate program will first have to make a choice. Do you wish to join via NATS or CCBill? Personally, we chose CCBill for two reasons: signup is immediate with no waiting for account approval, and CCBill provides the added incentive of allowing affiliates to group this program into the same account as other CCBill programs. This feature is especially attractive for those affiliates promoting multiple CCBill programs as it means that they need not be overly concerned about meeting each individual programs minimum payment threshold before getting paid so long as their total earnings for all of them exceeds CCBill’s minimum. Which is quite easy to do considering it is only $25.
As already mentioned, the BasementDollars program had a decent archive of hosted galleries. Unfortunately, those galleries were rather devoid of any unique text which might otherwise assist in their getting indexed as well as serve as a basis for affiliates to draft their own promotional copy. Additionally, affiliates could access those galleries via RSS feeds. Perhaps we’ll see the link to those tools fixed and they will again become available for affiliate promotion, but we wouldn’t advise holding your breath.
While this review may seem to suggest otherwise, we do like the BasementDollars program. Asian niche content is a perennial favorite among surfers, and amateur girlfriend style content is very popular at present. We would expect a program devoted to a mix of the two to prove quite profitable. However, with only limited promotional tools provided for affiliates in addition to the apparent lack of updates, we cannot rank this otherwise good program too highly at this time.
