As their name implies, DatingGold is first and foremost an adult dating affiliate program. The program tour advertises an appealing list of niche dating sites with attractive landing pages and promo tools. However, once joining, new affiliates will find that they are initially unable to generate links or other promotional materials for most of the sites. Additionally, while there are a few sites immediately available for promotion, the majority of their promo tools are designed to direct visitors to static landing pages. While those landing pages are attractive, they do not offer visitors much in terms of actual site content. However, they clearly advertise that registration is free, with no credit card required, so affiliates might still find them useful in generating a fair amount of impulse joins.

We emailed a DatingGold representative asking about the sites which we found to be unavailable for promotion, and received a reply suggesting that access to the sites in question is as simple a matter as merely making a formal request – which is much better than our initial assumptions led us to believe.
When we first reviewed the DatingGold program, we found that clicks on the landing pages popped third-party pages. Additionally, closing the landing pages also prompts ‘second chance’ type exit-consoles. Both of these appeared to be by default and not options that affiliates could deselect or otherwise circumvent on their own. Obviously, the exit consoles are far less of a concern than third party pages which do not appear to benefit the referring affiliate. Fortunately, though, like the initially unavailable sites, we were comforted to learn that DatingGold will likewise disable the popups on affiliate accounts upon request. Revisiting the program, it now appears as if they have done away with the popped pages altogether, though the exit consoles remain.
Affiliates will likely find the relatively high PPS options coupled with free registrations that do not require credit cards of interest. However, affiliates should be aware that they will not have immediate access to all of the sites and tools advertised in the programs tour. Though, affiliates can be reassured in knowing that the folks at DatingGold will make the necessary changes to the affiliates account, upon request.
