Desperate Amateurs is a small adult affiliate program with just one site focused on real amateur content. As the name suggests, these are not the sort of amateurs looking to break into the porn biz, but regular folks just looking to make some fast cash. That being said, there are many return appearances, and we saw one girl that we seem to recall having seen elsewhere. Apparently the Desperate Amateurs content has been around for awhile in one form or another, starting out as a clips store, then as a membership site, then as a hybrid offering both; presently they are a CCBill membership site offering single month subscriptions, or a recurring monthly subscription which includes their “Update Guarantee”.

Summary
Unfortunately, the Desperate Amateurs program does not offer their affiliates anything in terms of promotional tools. Literally, nothing. If they have so much as linking and/or banner tools listed anywhere, we haven’t seen it. While lack of promotional tools for CCBill programs can often be mitigated by taking advantage of the linking structure that cookies the visitor, unfortunately that trick does not hold true of Desperate Amateurs. Which is to say that Desperate Amateurs is one of those CCBill programs which has been set up in such a way that the CCBill link always routes to the same site, regardless of appending with the “&HTML=” link structure.
So, since affiliates are basically on their own to devise their own promotional tools, affiliates may want to draw attention to the program’s “Update Guarantee.” In a nutshell, for those members who join the program through the recurring billing option, if there are not 4 video updates in a 30 day period, the user can write the program and their billing period will be extended until that months four video updates requirement has been met.
While we are big fans of the Desperate Amateurs real amateur content. The overall lack of promotional tools, not so much. Those affiliates who are already accustomed to creating their own custom promo tools should have little trouble promoting this high quality exclusive content.
